Alexis has been performing live comedy since 1999, as a writer
and performer in comedy group Ubersausage. The show ran at the
Edinburgh Fringe and the Canal Café in London, up until the
final night of 2001's UberNacht, the cabaret show, of which
Alexis was one of the performers and comperes. This was the
night they tried to set a comedy record by staging 45 comics in
45 minutes. Ubersausage received excellent reviews and a loyal
following.
"Python's originality, The Fast Show's silliness,
and the wanton depravity of The League Of Gentlemen…It's what
every punter hopes for but rarely finds at the Fringe -
something genuinely new, vibrant and fresh…the raw brilliance is
unmistakeable." - Three Weeks
"Delivers a sledge hammer blow to the audience once
every two minutes…surrealistic, irreverent and often brilliantly
offensive…Ubersausage mines the company's obviously rich seam of
comic talent, and the versatility and almost anarchic approach
of the players make for a refreshing change from the tired
clichés normally trotted out in the name of comedy revue." -

Part French and part Australian, Alexis was no stranger to
having the piss ripped out of him and decided it was time to
start giving a little back. So in February 2001 Alexis began
performing solo stand-up and in September of that year started
on the London circuit, where he is now a regular performer. He
also plays further afield, give or take his car blowing the head
gasket and leaving him and two other comics stranded on the side
of the M3.
Here's what the media has to say about Alexis as a solo
performer:
"A good line in effervescent banter and one-liners…a
solid stock of material with perfect timing, particularly
articulate with topical observational humour…an intelligent and
well-delivered set." - Paramount Comedy
"He's an aspiring actor - yes, another one - which
gives him a confidence and stage presence that can only help.
But, unlike many other thespian wannabes, there's care in the
writing, not just in the performing…enough clever one-liners and
visual gags to suggest real promise." - www.chortle.co.uk
