Jaik Campbell
wanted to be a comedian at the age of 8, but only first started performing
stand-up comedy aged 26, in the summer of the year 2000, primarily as a way to
help him get over a bad stutter. He found that his stutter gave him a useful
source of material when he was first starting out on the London Comedy Circuit.
So far to date (June 2003) he has done over 400 gigs and played venues such as
The Comedy Store (London and Manchester), Up the Creek Greenwich, Banana
Cabaret, Amused Moose, The Buzz Club, The Comedy Café, Downstairs at the Kings
Head, Hackney's Bullion Theatre, Soho Laughter Lounge and The Chuckle Club. He
has also done gigs at Imperial, Brunel and Middlesex Universities.

STUTTERING SUCCESS
Jaik has found that performing stand-up comedy has given him the self-confidence
to control his stutter, rather than it control him, so he says "Thank you,
stand-up comedy!" (Without stuttering at all.)
